Melvin N. Sorensen, a principal at Carney Badley Spellman, P.S., joined the firm in July 2000 with more than thirty years of experience representing insurers, health care interests and other regulated industries before the Washington State legislature and various state agencies. Mr. Sorensen's government relations practice emphasizes legislative and regulatory representation, including matters before the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.

Prior to her role with Cambia, Ms. Barnes was a health care consultant, policy analyst, health care attorney, and Capitol Hill staffer. Most recently, Ms. Barnes served as a Senior Advisor for Leavitt Partners, a consulting firm that advises a diverse set of health care industry clients about market and policy trends.
